The Ask Gina plugin bundles a read-only MCP connection with four research skills. A connection makes tools available; a skill tells the agent when and how to use them. Authentication is still required.

Choose a research skill

These skills cannot place trades, transfer assets, change leverage, redeem positions, or create/edit schedules. Adding another MCP server does not change that boundary.

Install for your host

Follow your host’s setup page. A host-specific plugin can include extra features, such as Cursor slash commands; direct MCP connections provide tools without automatically installing skills. The canonical skill sources are in askgina/plugins. Each skill has a SKILL.md under plugins/ask-gina/skills/<skill-name>/. Use those sources rather than copying older skill bodies from documentation. For hosts with manual skill loading, install only the desired skill directories into the host’s documented skill location, then start a new session. The repository’s contributor instructions and build internals are not user skills.

OpenClaw and other clients

OpenClaw is one client, not a separate Gina skill family. Follow OpenClaw setup for the connection and skill-loading route. Legacy ClawHub commands are not the installation source for these four research skills.

Package availability

Source code and host adapters do not establish marketplace approval. The compatibility matrix distinguishes direct connection routes from listing status. Do not assume SDK/CLI source can be installed from a public package registry.
