# Verification Levels

> How trust is signaled in Community Hub

Community Hub uses verification tiers so users can quickly assess confidence.

## Levels

### `unverified`

* Entry is published and useful, but not fully maintainer-validated.
* Good for discovery and experimentation.

### `verified`

* Entry has passed maintainer validation.
* Includes a recent verification date.
* Better default for production-like usage.

## Promotion criteria

* Submission has complete capability contract.
* Setup path is reproducible.
* Safety/permission model is explicit.
* Maintainer validation is documented.

## Downgrade behavior

* Stale or broken entries may be downgraded from `verified` to `unverified`.
* Entries are typically downgraded before archival/removal.
